Why Families Choose the Hawks
Safety First
All coaches hold current accreditations and Blue Cards. Age-appropriate rules and qualified first aiders at every session.
Inclusive Community
Every child is welcome regardless of ability. We focus on participation, development, and making sure every player gets game time.
Fun at the Core
Our sessions are designed to be enjoyable. Kids who have fun come back, improve naturally, and build lasting friendships.
Skill Development
Structured coaching programs that develop running, passing, tackling, and game awareness progressively through each age group.
Values-Led
Respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship are taught alongside rugby skills. We build character as well as players.
Convenient Schedule
Saturday morning training and games keep weekday evenings free for families. Season runs from April to September.
What to Expect
Junior rugby is a team effort. Parents take turns helping on game day with canteen, set-up, and scoring on a simple rotating roster. It is low-commitment and our volunteer coordinators make it easy.
New players can attend a few training sessions before committing to registration. Just bring a water bottle, mouthguard, and boots — we will take care of the rest.
Our season runs from April to September with training on Saturday mornings and games on Saturday afternoons. Check our training schedule for specific times by age group.
Coaches and Managers Needed
No coaching experience required. We provide training, accreditation support, and a Blue Card. All you need is enthusiasm and a couple of hours a week.
